By LYNDAL JEFFERIES Children are invited to join the Mad Hatter and friends for tea at the Alice in Wonderland- themed summer fair fundraiser at Waiheke Pri- mary School on Sunday. A tiny door will lead the way into the Mad Hatter's Tea Party where Alice, the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat and the Queen of Hearts will be serving tea (homemade lemon- ade) and cupcakes. Otherworld Productions is providing the actors and costumes with talented parents Bruce Davis-Goff as the Cheshire Cat and Vibeke Breuthower as the White Rab- bit. A 15-minute interactive improvised performance will be repeated for young viewers throughout the day. Children are encouraged to dress as an Alice in Wonder- land character, and a costume competition will be judged by Bella Bertoni. Live music from the Mojo Risers, The Burrell Boys, Katy Soljak, Kriston Batistich, V12 and the Waiheke Primary School kapa haka group and others will entertain those not small enough to get through the secret door. Stalls offering home-baked food bric-a-brac and plants will be run by parents in fancy dress. All proceeds go towards funding school projects. The Summer Fair is from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Sunday, November 28 at Waiheke Pri- mary School, 26 Seaview Rd, Ostend. NOTICES FRIENDS OF THE STREET, out late and need a lift? Ph 027-629-0596.
