Photo: GRAHAM HOOPER The first weekend of the Auckland Fringe Festi- val on Waiheke -- at The Barn, Stefano's -- is here. The festival opens on Friday night with DJ Glenn Soulo'' playing music from the 60s and 70s through to the 90s, from 9.30pm. On Saturday, kids can bring their parents for lunch and watch the Great Garden Clown Show at 1.30pm. That evening, blues duo Mojo Risers and Kiri Eriwata will play from 9.30pm. Another kids' show on Sunday at 1.30pm has Wanda-fool, wacky witch of Waiheke bringing an interactive fun-fix full of giggles, games, songs, stories and magic''. The festival runs at The Barn for a further two weekends and ends on March 13. Dinner bookings are recommended to be made at least one and a half hours before the evening shows. Meanwhile, Burlesque act Koko Risque, which is performing on March 12, will be raffling a 10-trip Fullers ticket at the festival. Proceeds go to the Roth family whose rented home burnt down last week. Visit www.stef.co.nz or call 372-5309 for more festival information and tickets. Sunny Sunday sessions Live music is set to con- tinue at Ricky's in Oneroa on Sunday afternoons. Next Sunday session will feature live music with Gary Harvey and Tony Abbot from 3pm. Phone 372-2273 for more information.
