e-edition EXTRA WIN with NZSO Spanish sunshine is coming to Auckland this September thanks to the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra’s Sketches of Spain tour. The concert features astonishing young guitarist Xuefei Yang, who will play the twentieth-century Spanish classic Concierto de Aranjuez. Yang is the first Chinese guitar virtuoso to launch an international career and was named by Gramophone magazine as the guitar world’s newest star. Sketches of Spain also features Debussy’s Iberia and Three Dances from the Spanish ballet, The Three Cornered Hat, and will be led by energetic German conductor Christoph König. If you fancy being transported to a Mediterranean summer, we have 10 double passes to give away to the Auckland Town Hall concert on Friday 2 September. The concert will start at 7pm.
