Gregor Borland, the fiddle player, and Sandy Brechin, on the accor- dion, are outstanding musicians who combine dazzling playing with good humour and quirki- ness for an unforgettable performance. These days Gregor teaches and performs the fiddle by invitation all over the world. While Sandy is an extremely popular, and funny, accordionist who has played in concert halls from Scotland to the United States. The pair last toured New Zealand together in 2010. Tickets cost $15 prepaid from the Theatre's TimeOut Cafe which is open 9am to 3pm from Tuesday to Saturday or $20 at the door. Celebrating Kiwi music Keen supporter: Librarian Di Stodart loves NZ Music Month. Vinyl sessions: Counting the Beat host Chris Walker from Waiheke Radio shared his love of the record as part of NZ Music Month. The celebration of NZ Music Month continues with live music this Saturday at Waiheke Library. The Artworks venue has seen ska reggae band Radio Rebelde put on a funky set on the out- door stage and Waiheke Radio's Counting the Beat host Chris Walker give two vinyl sessions'' which included a DJ set of rare and interesting Kiwi records. This Saturday at 11am residents can hear all four of Waiheke High School's choirs including popular girls choir Canto Isola. The young singers, who have been tutored by music teacher Sarah McNabb, will perform two songs each. Waiheke Radio is recording, broadcasting and podcasting the performances.
