Photo: IAN McGREGOR Ricki Herbert has named a settled 20-man squad for the first two matches in the third stage of FIFA World Cup qualifying in September. One of the games will be played at North Harbour Sta- dium in Albany on September 11 against the Solomon Islands and Suburban News- papers, publishers of the Wai- heke Marketplace, has 10 double passes to give away. Winners will also be able to attend the private captain's run the day before the match to see the All Whites train and have a chance to get the signature of their favourite All White. Email your name and address to linda.Mcleod@ nzfootball.co.nz and you'll go into the draw to win. Remem- ber to include your daytime contact details and type All Whites World Cup Qualifiers Contest in the subject line. The All Whites open their campaign in Noumea on September 7 with the chance of exacting a modicum of revenge against a New Cale- donia side that upset New Zealand in the semifinals of June's OFC Nations Cup. The North Harbour match four days later will be the first home qualifier of the 2014 campaign. Herbert is calling on his full range of overseas profes- sionals for both games and his squad includes new Queen's Park Rangers sign- ing Ryan Nelsen, West Ham's Winston Reid and Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder Dan Keat who all missed the OFC Nations Cup through injury. Nelsen, who will captain the side, is on course to play his 50th A' international in front of a home crowd in the fourth qualifier in Christ- church on October 16. The core of the squad is retained from the Nations Cup with teenager Tim Payne holding on to a spot in the travelling party after an impressive Olympic Games campaign in the holding mid- field role. Herbert says missing out on the Confederations Cup has only steeled the team's resolve to qualify for Brazil 2014. "A winning start to the campaign is vital as we don't want to open the door for any- one else to build momentum. And having a big vocal sup- port for all our home games is a must.''
