Photo: VIBEKE BRETHOUWER Historic times: Otherworld Productions are planning a fun-filled evening based on 1940s war-time nostalgia. The troops are rallying to help a cause and they want you to do the same in true wartime spirit. Otherworld Productions has teamed up with the Waiheke Sea Scouts to create a wartime revival bingo night at Morra Hall, Oneroa, on September 21.It is a fundraising event to help get the island's scouts and leaders to the national jam- boree in Fielding this Decem- ber. A fun and laughter filled Saturday night of entertain- ment, comedy, dance, music -- and bingo -- is being promised, with great prizes for the lucky winners. Bingo host Bruce Davis Goff will be dodging the bombs while making the calls with the help of flamboyant assist- ant Linda Savage. The fun starts at 7pm and continues until black-out time, so get your 1940s glad rags on. Entry is $25, inclusive of 10 bingo rounds and a drink on arrival. Tickets are available from Island in Oneroa Village.
